This is my modest Arc de Triomphe photo album. For armistice day they had a huge French flag flying which was shown off by the wind and a huge mass of flowers surrounding the eternal flame of the Arc de Triomphe. I shot a few videos.

The better of the three is made funny by me having a ridiculous conversation sporting a hurrendous cold. So I sound like Porky Pig. Oh well, nothing's perfect. Here it is: Flag flying.
Here are a few others: Special tribute.

Arc de Triomphe 2.
This is the Luxembourg Gardens. I photographed it right at dusk. The colors were beautiful. Most pictures are crisp and clear.
This is my photo album from Le Caveau des Oubliettes. If you know me at all you know that my other love besides house music is jazz. While I'm admittedly woefully ignorant of large parts of jazz history, I've been feasting my ears on live jazz 1-2 times per week for the last 2-3 years at least. My old roomie (Eugene --> you da' bombses) gave me this awesome book on jazz history that I've slowly been going through in my non-existent spare time.
So I got to Paris and found this awesome Monday night jam session. The quality is extremely high. What I love so much about jazz is that these musicians just learn the chords and chord changes to any of a number of given songs. And they go to work. They are amazing sight-readers by and large. So you can come up and give them charts to a song they've never seen before. In C. And you can say, hey... I'm going to sing this in B flat. And out it comes in B flat... pretty flawlessly at that.

My memory card on the camera conked out mid-shoot. But I want you to hear the quality of the music. Please ignore the guitarist scratching his nose. It's the only video I have: Jam it Up!.

These are more low-light shots. I shot last week and this week. Last week I sat in the back and the pics are horrible but this week's pictures are a lot better although not all are good.
Le Jardin des Plantes. The plants garden is near my flat in the Latin Quarter. This isn't the best time of the year to photograph this garden. But I still consider it to be a worthwhile endeavour. The musuem buildings in the garden are beautiful and there's a lot of interesting statuary. The gardens host the Musuem of Natural History. Interesting to note is that the Rockefeller Foundation gave a grant to this Musuem. A placard says so on the side of the building. If I ever get rich (which is getting more unlikely with every day in Paris... I'm gonna do it Rockefeller style.
This is my Eiffel Tower photo album. I've been lucky catching the Eiffel Tower with spectacular blue skies. I've photographed it twice and been to the top once. I will return once more to catch it at night. It's lit up with strobe lights that blink the first six minutes of every hour. I also plan to voyage to the top at night.

Travel to the top of the Eiffel Tower with me in this video!!

Watch the eiffel tower get her bling-bling on. The first six minutes of every hour, the eiffel tower blinks in grand fashion. She's outfitted with strobe lights and excited to show her glittery stuff.
